Dumpleton Building Services completed this specialist flat roof replacement project, upgrading two existing 20-year-old felt flat roofs with a modern standing seam zinc roofing system. The new zinc roof provides a durable, low-maintenance, and contemporary solution that enhances both the appearance and long-term performance of the property.
The existing felt roofs had reached the end of their lifespan, so they were carefully removed and replaced with a high-quality standing seam zinc roofing system designed to provide excellent weather resistance and longevity. The sleek appearance of zinc creates a modern architectural finish while offering a highly durable roofing solution that requires minimal maintenance.
Due to restricted access at the property, careful planning and project management were essential. All scaffolding, tools, and materials had to be carefully transported through the house to reach the rear elevations. The works were organised to minimise disruption to the homeowners while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment throughout the project.
Attention to detail was key throughout the installation, ensuring the finished roof was not only visually impressive but also built to provide reliable protection for many years to come.

Dumpleton Building Services completed this GRP flat roof refurbishment, restoring the roof's protective finish and extending its lifespan without the need for a complete replacement. By refurbishing the existing roof, the homeowner benefited from a cost-effective solution while maintaining the strength and durability of the original GRP system.
The refurbishment began by thoroughly sanding the existing GRP roof to remove any loose or weathered material and create a strong mechanical key for the new coating. Careful surface preparation is essential to ensure excellent adhesion and a long-lasting finish.
Once the roof had been fully prepared, a new high-performance GRP top coat was professionally applied to provide a seamless, weatherproof finish. The new coating restores the roof's appearance while improving its resistance to UV exposure, rain, and general weathering, helping to protect the property for years to come.

This chimney breast restoration project in St Albans involved repairing extensive damp damage and restoring the lounge to a high standard. Moisture had caused the original plaster and render to deteriorate, so all damaged materials were carefully removed back to the masonry to ensure a long-lasting repair.
The chimney breast was then re-rendered using a waterproof render system to help prevent future moisture penetration before being professionally skimmed with finishing plaster to create a smooth, durable surface ready for decoration. New skirting boards were fitted to replace those affected by the damp, and the lounge was fully redecorated to complete the transformation.
To retain the original character of the room, the existing mantelpiece was carefully reinstated, providing a traditional focal point while complementing the newly restored chimney breast.
